1984 – Graduated from the Republican Physics and Mathematics School named after academician Zhautykov.
1991 – Graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Applied Mathematics at Kirov Kazakh State University.

Participant of the All-Union Mathematical Olympiad in Vilnius Participant of the World Mathematical Olympiad in Belgrade
In 1992, he received a Master's degree in Economics from KIMEP University (first graduating class). He was awarded the British Petroleum Award for Best Student of the Year.
In 1994, he graduated from the postgraduate program at the Abai Kazakh Pedagogical Institute.
